This post should have been posted yesterday but the pair in the photo had a delayed flight to attend with and by the time they got here there was only time to drink gin- enough excuse for me! Good times over the next three weeks! Oh look it's gin o clock.........

Harry is super good at drawing. He drew this picture to go in Daddy's office so he does not forget where all the bits of a body are. In case you are wondering Daddy is a Forensic Scientist so it's not that weird to have pictures of bodies on the wall. Harry is a super cool chap and his drawings are also very cool!

Today was sunny and bright and the perfect day for pink lemonade by the pool. I carbonated some water (with my still amazing Sodastream) and then blended a whole un-waxed lemon, 4 tbsp sugar and a few frozen Saskatoon berries. I sieved the mixture and then added it to the water. Me and the boys enjoyed it very much. Today was a very good day.

This is the view at the side of our house- oh the joy of living on a building site! Watching them dig this giant hole was very scary as it made our house quake and wobble!

Inside the bowling alley it's dark and they play the music way too loud but if they didn't do that it just would not be the bowling alley! Tips from Daddy go in one ear and out of the other- both boys seem to favour the throw themselves and the bowl down the lane approach.

This big, fat chocolatey cookie is all mine. Once the kids are in bed I will sit and eat it at to myself- no sharing, no splitting it in half- it's all for me!

I took this photo with my web cam. This is me tip tapping away, working on future blog posts, checking over my Mum's new web site I built (see here for my handy work- pretty proud!) and working on style templates for a scrapbook I am starting about our life in Canada. I am ready for it all to be done and I more than ready for it to be gin o'clock- it cannot be that far off, can it!

I love Moonpig!
I was awful at sending cards when I lived in the UK. Birthday cards would be late, I wrote Christmas Cards and then never gave them out and was generally rubbish at remembering even close families big days! Now I live in Canada and with the help of Moonpig I am on top of cards and work a month at a time to make sure I don't miss any! I love modifying cards to suit each person and writing little messages to each person. I also love that I can send cards for exactly the same postage costs as if I were still living in the UK- genius! Today I am doing birthday cards and a get well card for my Nan who had an operation today- big hugs sent to my Nan! xx
If you have not done so already I suggest you check out Moonpig- its just so much fun! (They operate in the UK, America and Australia)

Did you know the very best way to get all of the milk from the bottom of your cereal bowl is to simply pick it up and drink it! Simple, see!

This weekend I have been drinking gin (of course) and eating Marble Slab Ice Cream- Problem, me no! My house (and mood) is less stable without gin and ice cream in it!

This is my lovely bike! It's purple, comfortable, smooth to ride and has a bottle (for gin and tonic when mobile) and a basket (for champagne picnics). Apologies for the background, if you stand too long outside in one place the mossy's have a party around your legs, the garage is safer! I am still thinking of a name for my bike- any suggestions welcome?

It's not my most original idea this one! I know that choosing to photograph the Olympic Rings is a bit of a cop out, seeing as they are pretty much everywhere at the moment! I have been watching every day in the background as I cook, play and clean up around the house. I am cheering the UK on (Canada too, but lets be honest the Summer Olympics just ain't our game, bring on the snow and we own the podium!)
I noticed that it was Pole Vaulting I found myself dusting too and it made me wonder- who invented the sport and what the hell where they doing when they did??

Harry wears glasses and I wish I could see how he sees for a day so I know what life looks like for him. Before his glasses the World must have been one big blurry fuzz! I didn't ask him to pose, that's just Harry- gotta love him!
I had planned to give an exciting view of 8am in our house but instead let me tell it as it is. Toy Story is on in the background to keep the kids happy and quiet for an hour (I hope...), The coffee in my cup is black and strong enough to stand a spoon up in. My style is bed hair and we are all still in our pj's. I have spent my night comforting my post op puppy and ushering my restless 3 year old back to bed, I am tired and it is going to be a long day! Thank goodness for the hubby who took over the madness this morning giving me an extra hour in bed- thank you, you are a life saver!
Hubby bought me a waffle maker. I think he only bought it so he could sing the Birds Eye Potato Waffle advert song every time I use it, but hey it's worth it! I am trying to find the perfect recipe for my waffles. I print off lots of different ones, try them and make notes. Then I use bits from each and experiment till I get the perfect one. Today's effort included nutmeg to give them a donut flavour- let you know how I get on......
As kids we all have that dream item. We see the adverts on the TV and dream of owning the item shown to create wonderful things as if by magic. When I was young it was the Al a Carte Kitchen and a Sodasteam machine. I never got a Sodastream and my Dad made me my very own kitchen, painted a similar colour to the one on the TV but mine was better- FACT!
I now own a Sodastream! I grin every time I jet the bubbles into the water. It is just as magic as it was when I was a kid, the adverts didn't lie this time- I love my Sodastream!
