HONEY & SEA SALT POPCORN

Light crunchy popcorn, sweet aromatic honey and sharp salty flakes of sea salt- are you rushing to the microwave yet?

I love my microwave and feel that this kitchen gadget comes in for a little stick at times.  It's shamed and ridiculed by so many but when I find that cold cup of coffee sitting on the side (where I left it and forgot about it), how else can I reheat it in a quick minute?  My trusty friend the microwave!  Now before you comment angrily about how bad that practice is lets talk about popcorn....

Simply place a handful of corn in a brown paper bag, roll the top of the bag three times and place in the microwave with the fold facing down.  Set it for 1 1/2 minutes and wait for the pops!  More often than not I eat it naked (the popcorn not me).  In honor of the ever so addictive kettle corn, I wanted to go sweet and salty- it's a popcorn match made in heaven.

WHAT YOU NEED
Freshly popped corn
2 tsp honey
2 fat pinches of sea salt flakes
large bowl

WHAT YOU DO
Place the honey in a microwave safe bowl and zap for 30 seconds till the honey is warm- not bubbling hot, just warm.  This makes it easier to pour and distribute evenly on the popcorn.  Place the popcorn in a large bowl, drizzle over the honey and toss to coat each kernel.  Sprinkle over the salt, crushing it as you do.  Give it one last mix and enjoy.

You will have sticky fingers but it's totally worth it!
