I have never followed a pattern before, opting to make simple cushions and bags that require nothing more than straight lines of stitching. 

This week I have made two tops for me and even braved using a pattern to make a pair of shorts for Alfie.


Oh and in case you are a Mum and own a sewing machine, just watch out for your child sneaking under the table and sitting on the foot pedal, sending your machine into a mad, frantic sewing mess and scaring the pants off you!  Thank goodness there was nothing under the needle at the time eh Alfie!
