CHILLI & SESAME THAI SALAD DRESSING
Tuesday, March 13, 2018"You cannot see the lettuce and the dressing without suspecting a salad"
-- Arthur Conan Doyle
Salads are only as good as their dressings, right? Plain green leaves are not fooling anyone into thinking that its a meal!
Thai inspired dressings are my personal favourite and here is a fast, simple, sure fire hit of a dressing that is my very own "go to".
Chilli & Sesame Thai Dressing
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp ponzu
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 to 1 tsp dried chilli flakes
- 1 tsp black sesame seeds
WHAT YOU DO
Mix everything together and get dressing!
You can add anything you like to your salad but I love a combo of avocado, spring onion, cucumber, edamame and cold soba noodles.
Cook the soba as per the packet (usually 3-4 mins in boiling water) and then place it into ice cold water to chill. I usually throw the frozen edamame in at the last minute to thaw. Drain everything and toss with the other ingredients and dressing.
What is your favourite salad dressing?
