"From January 17-21 Team Canada will travel a total distance of 39,723.8 kilometres to practice together. If anyone doubts how badly we want to win #wbc2020🇨🇦 , we’ve already travelled this distance twice before to practice. In total, Team Canada will have travelled over 357,000 kilometres just to practice. Away from families, away from our own shops and businesses. If that’s not commitment to your craft and representing your country, then I’m not sure what is!!!"
A message from Popowich meat Co.;
This Friday we’ve been able to secure 5 of the team members between 2-3pm before they head down to Olds. Our plan is to have a meet and great with the group, to hear about what they’ve been up to and what the competition is all about, and to also watch them break down a side of pork into the various chops and roasts you are used to seeing in meat counters. If you’ve ever been interested in what a butcher does, the different tools they use, and where your meat comes from, this will be a great event for you to attend. With over 150 years of combined experience in the industry, they’ll be happy to answer all your questions!!

We have limited space for the event. The team is entirely self funded, so we are asking for a $20 donation that will go entirely towards their training funding. And I promise that we’ll keep the heat nice and high to keep you warm during this crazy Alberta winter week!
