Any tips on how to actually get nail polish to stay on? I can't seem to get it to last a day without chipping off!

To give the nail varnish the best chance of a chip free run I always do a base coat then dry for 2 mins. One coat of colour, dry for 2 minutes and then another layer of colour. Then every day after I add a layer of clear top coat. Hubby says all I seem to do is paint my nails!! Oh and the better the nail varnish the better its chances too. Cheap usually equals chips!
