My quest to drink no alcohol in January is continuing but my thoughts have been well and truly in the gin bottle of late!  There is just something about Friday that makes me think my survival of the working week deserves a little celebration of the gin kind!  What is worse is the hubby failed miserably at the very first social event we attended so I am a solo tee totaller.  I am feeling the pressure, but even more than ever I must do it now to prove I can and he didn't!

I have be testing lots of different non alcoholic cocktails and this one just sort of made itself based on what I had in the fridge.  It was a delicious experiment!

In an old glass jar (I have no cocktail shaker, if you do please feel free to use one rather than my jar method), add ice.
Add the juice and zest of a lime
Add a thumb size piece if ginger, grated finely
Top the jar up with cranberry and raspberry juice (just cranberry would work OK too)

Give it a shake and strain into a cocktail glass.

Can't help thinking that vodka would make it taste much better.  (Note to self, get hubby to hide the vodka till 1st Feb)

A life without lemons is like swimming in the nude! You can do it, but it just feels wrong.

A Life Without Lemons started when I moved from the UK to Edmonton in Canada. I blog about fabulous food, family and my long standing love affair with gin and tonic!

Very glad to have you come along for the ride- is it gin o clock yet?
